BX430. Interior redone with more daytime light getting inside. removed planemaker 3d emit light. interior normals redone including specular variation. all bakes at maximum ray and oversampling. updated panel base and shadow overlay. I saw MdMax post a shot recently and it reminded me that the panel in there was pretty black, moreso than I had wanted.. so I returned to it and adjusted it. to my eyes, it's greyer than I want, but I think some of you out there with dark pc and high contrast displays.. will see it at least brighter, nearer to where I intend. Anyway. Interior night LIT re-baked also but without adding any better lights to the scene. that'll be next, sometime, before a mission comes that features night heli ops. I want to re-do it's night interior with the panel lights, cockpit area lights, and better passenger cabin overhead lights. Anyway. BX430 UPDATE in place now. Have Fun.
Mustang update. Similar. All new interior lamps. day bakes, night bakes, normals, specular variation. panel, panel-1 shadow overlay, panel-2 lighting overlay. max rays day. high rays night. baked baked baked, and tuned to get what I think is "just right" on that night lighting render texture interior. There is light getting down under the panel to the pedals that I don't know where it's coming from, probably the panel drop lamps blasting through the panel face mesh.. but no matter.. it'll do for now. much better than before and it'll make you want to take some night flights in the Mustang. maybe... perhaps.. taking some Flight Ops Charter assignments.
As far as what's new to see... I look forward seeing *YOUR* screenshots of the Mustang with Extreme resolution on the textures to see the fine grain, the normals, the specular variation, and the new NIGHT beauty. Please, drop some night shots...
So much to do, so little relative time. PIPERS have all new bakes and specular variation maps done, pending my assembling it and double checking everything over in photoshop and file management. SR2X is baking now. specular variation will get applied. it's night lamps are good already. I may go back into A109E, maybe BX206 (though heli's are so non-popular it's a bit of a waste of time to do work on them... I like them enough though I guess.) Anyway, there's lots to do, re-do, go back into and keep going on. And each process takes so long, requires remembering every last little thing in an additive process... yeah.. anyway.
Work continues on everything. I know when nothing is seen or heard it can be thought or assumed that nothing is happening. In fact, the opposite is true, the less active I am here, the more active I am behind the scenes. Work on updates to existing things. And oddly, several contract tasks at the same time have come in. It's hard to keep up with it all, as a lone individual. I think I should get back to my Saturday night +9pm.... which still involves bakes in progress... but it involves coffee and movies in progress too.
p.s. Something I want you all to remember. You all have *better computers* than I do. you all will be seeing things at better texture resolution than my shots show. It was asked recently by someone rather rude why all my images are renders and not in-xplane shots. well... blender shows things as they are designed, as they are textured, as they are setup. *your view* will be as well as x-plane can show that. Your in-xplane view will be better than my computer-xplane view can show. the files are higher resolution and clearer than my_screenshots can show. When I identified that a couple years ago, I went to all renders for interiors and exteriors so you all can see the_model, and your_mileage_may_vary relative to your_hardware to see things in x-plane.
