Here’s to the crazy ones. The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently.
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

A109E_9X updated yesterday with new main rotor airfoils that should abate the VRS noticeably. you can still get your butt in serious vrs trouble, but it's not nearly as bad now. it had to do less with actual settling-with-power vrs and more about the airfoil stalling from alpha angle. I've made the custom rotor airfoils but for some reason they had a rather low critical alpha set entered. raised to a more conventional critical alpha and now... oh yes... now the blade handles much more like you would expect and like others, while being the proper rotor airfoil. download updated yesterday. go geet eet.

Flew the Goose from KSFO over to KOAK right after it became available yesterday.
There's a noticable difference, (positive), on hover and landing.
Beautiful boss. ;)
I'm 'bout ready to take it out for Spec Ops...
Wonder if Crim could do a Black Livery for it...
There's a grey one that's good enough for the time being,
but as we all know, black is beautiful. 8-)
Bump map?

:D

redid all the lines on the fuse at 2x resolution, all new lines and fills for what is the source for producing the normal map. output the normal map render at 4096 and then sized it down in photoshop to compile the normal map. it is done. downloadable now. :cylon1:

"get to know a tail rotor"

(sorry it rendered darly because of the metal materials without a texture source for the renderer. grey+grey=black)

A 109 for Spec Ops

Postby kiofka »

Took a moment at ENST for a special shot of the A 109 with the new bump map.
These boys are a bit anxious to "GET SOME" so I only got this one shot.
Gotta' go now...
