evvah slo down...
you know though, thought of a monster truck like paint livery design. literally.. a USPS, Postal paint. "Haulin' the Mail" and any number of other quasi lewd race craft name or slang taunts.
What I do know is this though. 2:52 seems to be the gauntlet time. I just ran it at half fuel. measured from two laps full burn, remaining deducted from total for 'race fuel' allotment. Pilot at 172#, Fuel 340#. I ran it as hot, and fast, and low, and smooth, and race line as I could ... and got a pair of 2:53's. That's right though, a 2:53 on the first lap. I think a 2:51 is possible, and I still want to set a goal for 2:50... but current standing gauntlet throw down for HUSTLE TUFF is 2:52
that said, I ran probably 5 laps this morning in search of the elusive 2:51... only to end up with :53's.
Since first lap is rarely the faster of the two, but the twin :53's show that it can be depending on the takeoff. To establish consistency to the takeoff procedure. 172# pilot, 340# fuel. 100% N1 for takeoff, Max Throttle and Afterburn on crossing the fence at Bedrock headed to the track. That sets up for just about right at 600 going through the starting gate. Second lap if you come around the final turn through the lap gate clean and fast, you can have anywhere from 600-615-630 for the lap gate split which can setup for a fast second lap time.
when finished with the two laps. use the comma (,) key to invoke replay and scrub it back and the in-xplane-replay time indexes are just as valid for getting your time. if it's a new record, capture the entire uncut replay to video, so the movie runtime shows your lap(s)
Here’s to the crazy ones. The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently.
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
