Bad weather a good portion of the way; particularly nasty wind shear in Flagstaff (see my post in the Videos section), snow and ice at several points as well. Thank you for the compliment, AADX, glad you liked it. That shot I'd had in mind for a couple of months, how best to do it. These I just did, taking my new BE A36 out for an evening flight at sundown.

Someone gave me a Starship for Christmas, a nice gift indeed.

I was beginning to think nobody looked at these screenshots anymore.
It's a project that I've been working on. Ultra high resolution draped polygons.
Some of the photos in Google Earth have some pretty decent resolution.
My house just happens to be in one of those high resolution shots.
I came in as close as possible without getting any pixelation and grabbed shot after shot of the area.
I put the multiple shots into 2048 by 2048 draped polygons and placed them with Overlay editor.
This project had 8 draped polygons precisely placed side by side. Four in the top row and four on the bottom.
It's like 1 square foot per pixel resolution. INSANE!
What was remarkable was I wasn't getting any framerate loss.
I did my whole neighborhood. (About 2 square miles)
Makes for an incredible screenshot, Don't you think? ;)
