All your guys shots look great Ralf and Mario! :D

that black and white on the CTJ is sharp!

----

I went out for some weather experiencing today in LFX 10, out and around in the New Orleans area. ~30-40 knot gusty directional wind. after getting a healthy bit of motion sickness getting thrown around, I was lucky to find a decent sized airport with a runway straight line with the wind direction. Kept the speed intentionally high to cope with the gusty wind-subtraction wind shear hazard on landing and during maneuvering turns.

:D I'm curious about the charts for this runway. Man-made obstacles are very close here. VR should have been higher.

That looks fantastic!!!! and a great stunning cameo of the Joker :D

----

part one, the first half the trip. during a 45 minute enroute period when I went over to the post office and let autopilot run, I return to see it sitting on the ground somewhere after a crash I guess, so I resumed the flight from about that point a day or two later. Ultimately being New Orleans to Sedona AZ, at FL50, and sustaining over 500 KTAS/GS. here's the first batch.

AADX LJX 10

screenshot_4.jpg
LJX 10, New Orleans area (somewhere).
setup, lined up, a pretty nice day for a return trip of about 1100nm or so.

screenshot_7.jpg
upwind, ATHR 180 and keeping it easy in a left upwind turn.
keeping the climb angle low to keep the engine noise down, low effort up and out.

screenshot_8.jpg

screenshot_14.jpg

screenshot_15.jpg

screenshot_22.jpg
in my steep high performance climb, steering towards the direct gps route intercept,
looking south over the gulf coast.

screenshot_23.jpg
enroute course intercepted.

screenshot_24.jpg

screenshot_29.jpg
the high cirrus deck was at about FL30 or so on the way up to 50,000'

screenshot_30.jpg

screenshot_39.jpg

screenshot_41.jpg
50,000'/FL50 enroute, engines running at top rpm, though cool and redacted due to the very high altitude. With a significant tailwind, doing about 200kias, with an over ground speed in the vicinity of 520gs/tas. really enjoying the thin, cold, high altitude air and swift flight.

=====

screenshot_43.jpg
thought I'd turn on the flight model visualization lines to appreciate how clean and true the flight profile is, only lift, minimal drag, and no draggy force having to or coming off the hstab. just an ideally balanced and true design.

screenshot_44.jpg

screenshot_45.jpg
the air-mass flight model lines. red because of the tail wind air movement direction.

Probably two more parts given the amount I took, and edited thinking were pretty nice.

Continuation of the flight from New Orleans to Sedona AZ;

AADX LJX 10 :geek:

screenshot_48.jpg
FL500, 500+ GS.
up in the thin high clean clear crisp cruise

screenshot_53.jpg
... the view from the top.

screenshot_54.jpg

screenshot_55.jpg

screenshot_56.jpg

screenshot_57.jpg

screenshot_58.jpg

screenshot_65.jpg
... some forethought and pre-planning needed for a 500gs arrival, descending from 50,000.
where to begin descent at, at what rate, to get down in time, not too early, not too late.
this descent choice was done sort of like shuttle-reentry.. heheh :D

screenshot_68.jpg
... we'll call it descent speed 350 kias, at about -7000 fpm. <hair_on_fire>

screenshot_69.jpg
the mountain plateaus and ridges above the canyons there in northern arizona can be pretty high.
leveled off about 14-16k westbound to come in healthy over the terrain, keeping speed up.

screenshot_70.jpg
coming down to about 12k to slink in the last bit, even at only 35-20-15 miles out, that's a hard point to find visually.

screenshot_80.jpg
but scenic nonetheless. (to be continued)
