And.. the screenshot contest continues for August.

The rare, if ever seen, picture from the right seat. Always interesting to try to do familiar things from the unfamiliar seat. :D

while staring at an otherwise blank canvas.. considering what paint do lay down..... this somewhat storm'trooper'ish look seemed to found itself.. so.. renders are below, it'll be in the next LFX9 rev.

The 'storm'trooper' white on the LFX9 made me want to revisit the LJX. I admit, I just cant get over the bisected band design, and I thumbed through just abut every color of the rainbow seeing what other colors I liked.. I guess it's less about the color in particular and more about the design. I keep thinking that most of the modern paint livery styles are all base-white, with an often silly stripe formation. So, after paging through the colors again... I happened upon the CoolGrey 11 on here with the already strong pearlescence overlay making it look just richly silver... I checked what band color worked and it's also a cool-grey a few shades off, redid the wings, nace, and looked for a different tailtat, not finding one I liked, stayed with the dragon-squadron tail and here she is. will be in the next LJX update.

Modded Jason's Cassutt using blueprints of Yellow Peril. I gave it a Wipeout® themed livery. I loved the design firm that worked on the graphics, the Designers Republic, so I opted for this tribute livery. Wouldn't it be nice if the game's development studio sponsored an F1 air racing team?

and some more LFX9 love. at XMAS was it, LFX8 & LJX received "MERCY" MedEvac paints. Since then MERX bronze, tail tat Dragon, and other paint version for those. to enjoy the OJB'ness of the LFX9 and add a small twist and variant to the group, added MERCY-9 to the LFX9 today, upping and posting shortly 'Fan9 (LFX9) and Jet-X (LJX). Next may be 3d cockpit redux on the M!G, a GA themed paint on the xBONE, and something more in line with the MERX theme on the JOKER. I have other PA's to be working on, a still standing Helicopter project I cant mention... another personal interest helicopter project....

anyway.. LFX9, MERCY-9. (I may extend the white band forward further like it is on LFX8.. but the pics show the wet new paint.. avail for download shortly)

I love the 'storm'trooper' white on the LFX ! I looks amazing, and also the new dragon liveries for the LJX !

Yesterday I made this shot with the Colani Fanliner. It was for a X-Plane.fr screenshot contest. It's in Germany near a place called Saarschleife. The freeware photoscenery is available here.

Awesome shot Max. National pride there too. That's some great looking scenery, probably the best i've put my eyes on. looks very authentic. Makes me want to barnstorm those fields. Reminds me, if memory serves, the CFL fares pretty well on the Bonneville RBAR course (in flight ops here). Someday it'll get it's interior, I promise. likely the glider panel, and just bake something up, but that's just a fun cruiser, 2d panel view, full screen w/ or w/o hud, or from an external view. Such a pleasant smooth and straight push through the sky.
